Jacob Weiland: I Open my eyes

Picture
I Open My Eyes

I see a world of beauty.
I see the rolling sand dunes, the toiling waters of the lakes
And the glorious sunshine that pierces my harsh, inner cold.
God how long have I waited for the presence of spring, to feel that embrace of change.
I stand and take in the full force of a stirring breeze, it chills my body
But warms me to my core. It gives me a sense of hope that I will soon
Bask in the warmth of the soon shining sun. Though, the wind now irritates me,
And as my concentration of the land wanes, the world begins to settle.

Now it is the dead of night, I see the barren streets, coated in the snow of
Today’s weather and of days passed, and as I lie and weep,
I again isolate myself in

Paradise.

Hi! I’m Jacob Weiland, and I have no idea on what to write down here aside from me being a Michigander, my affinity for writing, and that I can’t write a nice, short biography on myself, who I’d hoped to have known better by now. So, I guess I’ll just tell you to have a good day. So, you go do that.
